Cultura is a free Summer festival running every Friday night in July that celebrates food, art, music and film! A festival that seeks to reflect the rich cultural diversity of the GTA in a communal celebration of the arts, Cultura will feature unique performers such as the reggae sounds of Long Shen Dao, Quebec folk musicians La Bottine Soriante and Mexican/Canadian jazz artist Amanda Martínez; international street food vendors and evening film screenings under the stars (Life of Pi, Invictus) in Mel Lastman Square’s outdoor amphitheatre.

About MUJER:

MUJER is a non-profit organization that works to promote the integral development of Latin women and youth. MUJER advocates for the elimination of barriers against all Latin women and youth in Canada and to promote the representation of Latin American women at all social and political levels within Canadian society

About Our Camp:

The Get Inspired: Leadership, Art and Dance Summer Camp is for Latina youth, ages 13-21, living in the Jane & Finch community, but is open to young Latinas from high-risk neighbourhoods across the GTA.  Creative Art Expression Workshops will cover topics such as self-esteem, bullying, body image and healthy relationships. This will enable the youth to explore the many facets of their growing bodies, examine societal pressures and give them the opportunity to foster a more intimate understanding of who they are.
